The Story Begins…
We’ve been very vocal about how impressive we think Kafoodle is as a platform to help caterers with recipes, nutritionals, allergens, labelling, and much more.
In early 2021, Kafoodle approached us about formalising the partnership. At first we weren’t sure; we don’t see ourselves as a software business. However, as we talked, we realised that that’s the point. Delicious By Design is about caterers speaking to caterers. We’re not trying to sell software, we’re trying to help people do their jobs better.
So, we’ve recently announced our formal partnership with Kafoodle, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We see it as a great opportunity to help the industry, especially this summer as we all address Natasha’s Law and the associated changes we need to make.
As part of our partnership, Kafoodle has kindly agreed to reward Delicious By Design with a small emolument for each copy of the software that Kafoodle licences based on referrals from us. So we began to think about how we could use that.
What We Are Going To Do
To cut a long story short, we decided that we could use it to help do our bit as the food service industry faces the biggest crisis any of us can remember.
So, from today until Natasha’s Law becomes effective on 1st October 2021, we will donate any emolument fees that Delicious By Design receives from Kafoodle to Hospitality Action.
We shared our idea with the team at Kafoodle. They liked it, and wanted to help. So, to support this campaign, Kafoodle has pledged that it will donate an additional £1 per month for every licence until October.
We don’t know how much we will be donating – that depends on how many organisations we help to get set up with Kafoodle. However, just like Blue Peter used to do with their appeals, we will publish a monthly update so everybody can see how much has been donated.
